Overview
The Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX), the oldest stock exchange in the US, was taken over by the Nasdaq in 2007 and is now known as the Nasdaq OMX PHLX. The exchange still publishes indices that cover certain industry groups and currencies. The Semiconductor Index ($SOX) and the Gold & Silver Index ($XAU) are two of the most popular industry group indices. The Euro Index ($XEU) tracks Euro-Dollar and the Yen Index ($XJY) tracks Yen-Dollar.
